Pokémon‘s Journey Together set, the second set of 2025, is bringing Owner’s Pokémon back to the game for the first time in many years, with many cards making their way to the West from the Japanese Pokémon set, Battle Partners. Owner’s Pokémon are special Pokémon who have been raised by well-known trainers, who are named as part of each card’s title. For example, N’s Darumaka, which you’ll see as card number 26 below; N being the name of a popular trainer in the Pokémon video and trading card games.

So with that in mind, let’s take a look at all of the cards for the Journey Together set!

There are 159 cards in the main set for Journey Together; you can see the card number in the bottom left of each card, with the set code (JTG) also appearing to the left of the card’s number:

All Pokémon Trading Card Game sets have a designated number of cards (as we’ve seen, for Journey Together that’s 159 cards), but also a selection of cards which are numbered above the set’s ‘official’ number. These are known as Secret Rare cards, and the numbering for these cards begins at 160. Each Secret Rare features a special illustration, with many alternate versions of other cards in the same set appearing here. The cards are always foil treated, and most have a textured finish too. The Journey Together set was released on the 28th of March, 2025. Pre-release events, where players can get their hands on the set’s cards for the first time and even compete to win packs, took place from March 15th through 23rd; you can find your closest pre-release events for future sets using the Pokémon TCG’s official event locator.

Unfortunately, the boom in scalpers taking interest in Pokémon cards again (it’s a problem that rears its head every few years or so) shows no sign of letting up at the moment. Given the stock issues that have plagued the most recent Pokémon sets due to this, we here at Card Gamer would, at the time of writing, strongly advise fans to pre-order Pokémon TCG products to avoid disappointment.
